Before the sun rises, we can see objects but not in full detail. Before Jesus came to earth, we could see some things but not clearly. But when Jesus was revealed in the New Testament, the whole Bible took shape. Things in the Old Testament were illuminated through Jesus. He was the promised one who came to rescue us from sin and death that we may have life in Him forever. He is making all things new. All the Bible points to Jesus.

The Bible is like watching a sunrise come over the horizon. In the Old Testament, you see the sun in part but the full radiance comes when the Son rises. Jesus is the Sunrise we were waiting for.
